about me
I started pharmacy school in 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, I knew I loved healthcare because of my own experience with loved ones.
However, I didn’t know what to expect from pharmacy school, and had no clue what kind of career I was looking for. Pharmacy school helped me discover my personal likes and dislikes and my passions in the world of pharmacy.
Through work experience in both the community and acute care settings of pharmacy, as well as my clinical rotations, I found my passion for behavioral health.

I also felt that pharmacy was an ever-growing career field where I would have lots of potential avenues for my life— and boy, was I right!

Healthcare inequities! This is the biggest thing — I have spent my entire life in rural North Carolina. Often, inadequate healthcare access is the norm for people who live here. I would love to change this!
Increasing our role — Advocacy is a huge deal in pharmacy. I admire pharmacists who are working to expand our roles. As one of the most accessible forms of healthcare professional in the nation, and one of the most widely trusted professions, this means a lot to me in terms of demonstrating our value to healthcare.
